Application Workflow
Workflow Steps
1. Define & Execute Search: Use the Initial Search tab in the sidebar to specify keywords (using text or regex - see the 'Regex Cheatsheet' button there!), publication years, article types, and sections. Choose whether to search the whole database or restrict by PMCIDs using the dropdown. Click 'Search'.
2. View, Refine & Manage Results:
View detailed search results in the main Complete search table tab. Use the sidebar's Post search filtering & Download tab to refine this table using various filters. This includes filtering by text content, counts, or metadata, as well as applying context filters using the checkboxes to find results where multiple keywords appear within the same manuscript
, section
, or even the same sentence
. This sidebar tab is also where you can Save your current PMCIDs or the entire filtered dataset, Load previously saved datasets, and Download the filtered results or matched values as CSV files. (Note: Loading saved PMCID lists to restrict a *new* search is done via the 'Initial Search' tab).
3. Analyze Filtered Results: Explore patterns in your filtered data using the visualization tools in the Matched values analysis tab (plots, word clouds). For deeper insights, use the Gemini AI Analysis tab in the sidebar: select your data source (current table, file, or saved data), ask a question, choose an output format (Table or summarized Text), and click 'Analyze'. Download the AI analysis results.
